48th Daytime Emmy Awards

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), honored the best in daytime television programming in 2020. Sheryl Underwood hosted the 48th annual Daytime Emmy Awards which was broadcast on CBS and Paramount+.
Congratulations to the entire team for each show honored, and a special congratulations to the SDSA members that received nominations and awards!

SDSA General Membership Meeting Pajama Party
June 17th, 2021
Kicking off the party on the East Coast and looking lovely in their best jammies,
Events Committee Chair Carol Bayne Kelley and SDSA Executive Director Gene Cane introduced our first host, Ninja Turtle Don Scott.
Don took us on a virtual tour of Scott & Sons Picture Framing and Gallery23Ten in Atlanta. The Scott family has been framing for three generations and have a beautiful shop and gallery. We also had the pleasure of meeting and seeing the work of two of the artists featured in the gallery. Cowabunga!
From Georgia we headed up to North Carolina where our next host, Ryan Obermiller of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. Ryan introduced us to General Manager Jennifer Hoehne at the Furniture Outlet in Asheville. Jennifer had Catherine Von Canon hysterically dashing all over the store and showcasing some very fine furnishings including a fleet of recliners.
From North Carolina over to California we went where Ryan caught General Manager Carlos Jimarez napping on the job in the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Furniture Outlet in Oxnard. It surely wasn't Carlos's fault, as that looked like one cozy couch! Definitely worth the drive up to Oxnard to check it out along with many more to choose from!
SDSA President Laura Richarz brought us all up to date on SDSA business and happenings, while Gene Cane introduced us to some new members and caught up with others.
Thank you to our hosts for bringing us together for some fun. And congrats to the lucky members who won the drawing of a $500 shopping spree and a $500 Picture framing certificate!
