Queen Charlotte's life in two distinct eras, 1761 and 1817, magnificently depicted!

Contracted by her brother to marry a man she’s never met who happens to be the king of England, Charlotte tries to escape just before the wedding, which of course is when she meets King George, and they fall deeply, passionately, in love. As do the king’s valet and the queen’s royal attendant, whose long-simmering, unallowable relationship is proved to be not only of desire and lust, but of a longstanding deep-seated love.

The BRIDGERTON world has always offered visual candy. Set Decorator Kevin Downey SDSA and Production Designer David Ingram do not disappoint, from splendor to servants' quarters, even a unique bath, as well as indulging us in fascinating elements of the astronomical interests of King George III.

Corridors abound! Here, the young Charlotte and her royal attendant Brimsley. She would prefer him to walk beside her so she can speak directly to him, but he insists he must remain five paces behind. He also informs her that he will be her attendant the rest of her life. And so he is. India Amarteifio as Young Queen Charlotte, Sam Clemmett as Young Brimsley. Photo by Liam Daniel. Netflix ©2023
