Dark times are coming to realms of Middle Earth...
The second season of LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER brings massive changes in the Second Age of Middle Earth.
Set Decorator Tina Jones SDSA and Production Designer Kristian Milsted took the reins on Season 2 of this fantastical series when the production moved from New Zealand, where the first season was filmed, to the UK. Ironically, they took over before the first season aired, so while there were some footprints established, they were able to expand each realm from their perspective, as well as bring forth new.
Tina notes, “I think for me, when I first heard about the project, it was a bit like going back to my GAME OF THRONES days, and I just knew how potentially exciting it was going to be. Because in that genre, you can do anything and create anything. It was just completely magical.”
Click on the video above for the enlightening conversation they had with Rae Deslich SDSA, and take a peek below at some of the sets they discuss, with captions by Rae.
