Daytime Emmy® Awards Announcement March 20, 2019
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced nominations for the
46th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards on March 20th, 2019.
The Daytime Emmy Awards recognize outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast from
2:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. during the 2018 calendar year.
The Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday, May 3, 2019.
Congratulations to the SDSA members nominated and to the entire team for each show honored! The SDSA International particularly acknowledges the set decorator’s contributions for these outstanding productions.

Spring has sprung and the SDSA ATLANTA celebrated with a party hosted by GA Prop Source with Atlanta Party Rentals, with florals by Bloom Atlanta and catering provided by Ibiza Catering.
The event, including food, drinks and a raffle was open to all Set Decoration,
Art and Property Departments and Vendors.

Former Director of the Property Department at Sony Pictures Studios and member of the Set Decorators Society of America International Hall of Fame, Frank Simpson died early March 2019, just months after retirement from Sony.
Frank was inducted into the Set Decorators Society of America International Hall of Fame in 2015.
