October GMM Dapper Cadaver October 10th, 2019
Thank you to BJ and Eileen Winslow of Dapper Cadaver for kicking off October
with another spooktacular costumed General Membership Meeting!
Game of Thrones was this year's theme with the Targaryen and Lannister Houses
well represented. The annual Costume Parade was followed by prizes for
Best Costume and Best Hair/Beard.
Thank you also to the SDSA Business Members who contributed to this event;
For the past 18 years, they've helped us locate SDSA meetings and have decorated
our parties and events with their magical balloon installations.
We would like to say "Thank You" and wish Danny and Bambi Bremgartner
a very well-deserved and happy retirement!
"We want to thank everyone for treating us like an equal during our years within the
TV and Film Industry. We have met many friends and acquaintances, and will miss all
of you. We have many fond memories of our years, and will cherish each one of them.
Before we retired, we searched to find a good replacement to take our place,
a company that will endeavor to work in the industry with the same attitude we have.
We feel that we have found that company in Balloons by Tommy."

and e-mail address to make it easier on everyone during the transition.

In a Few Words...
Which talent would you most like to have? I wish I could draw from my imagination. I can draw when I am looking at something but I wish I could just sit and sketch whatever came to my mind without any reference material.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? Staying married for 20 years to my wonderful husband has been my greatest achievement. I have worked a lot of hours and been a lot of places, but we are still happy together and I couldn't do any of this without his love and support.
Which word or phrase do you most overuse?
I overuse the word WE. I say to my crew can WE do this or can WE do that but what I really mean is can you do it.
What do you look for on the Craft Services table? I love food way too much. And worst of all I am a stress eater and I always feel stressed. Most of the time I am trying to pretend there is no craft service. My 3 big vices are bread, cheese and juice. If you have all that at the table I will keep going back to craft service over and over again with different disguises on.
Please name a benefit of being an SDSA member.
I have gotten a lot of jobs from people I have met at SDSA. It's a wonderful networking organization. The quality of the membership, publications and events make me very proud to be a set decorator . . . and the parties are so much fun.
This photo makes me laugh because I thought I had bought tablecloths in Little Tokyo
but when I opened the package they were aprons. I think I made the whole crew wear them as a laugh for my big mistake.
