GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
February 20, 2020
Bassman Blaine hosts another well attended SDSA General Member Meeting!

The setting was stunning, the sips and bites divine! After a warm welcome from our hosts, SDSA President Laura Richarz brought us up to date on the business and upcoming events, and introduced new members to the crowd.
Members shared news, participated in a round of Q&A and Executive Director Gene Cane brought the fun with raffle prizes.
Mary Ann Biddle was announced as the recipient of this years
Earl Cooperman SDSA Lifetime Achievement Award.

Thank you to everyone at Bassman Blaine, and thank you to
the SDSA Business Members who contributed to this event;

KIMBERLY FRANCES PILLOWS

Television, movies and live theater has been a joy
since 2004. Landing our 1st big sale with Omega|Cinema Props and working with Set Decorators has challenged
Kimberly Frances Pillows to be different.

The admiration for Set Decorators runs deep.
You invite us into a world of imagination where details, insight, creativity and magical elements weave adventure. My pillows are a unique jewelry piece that plays differently for every vision. In a glance, they tell a little bit about the space, even before the viewer settles in for the ride.

By nature, Kimberly Frances Pillows are full-bodied and resilient and will work well on set. The signature styles are a mixture of beautiful fabric combinations ranging from tonal statements to agreeably splashy. With perennial textiles, Kimberly Frances Pillows can accompany you on outdoor adventures, like the breakfast patio, poolside or terrace.

Coming soon to your favorite prop source website in early summer of 2020. We are excited to be a part of your project!

In a Few Words...

Which talent would you most like to have?
I would love to be better at drawing and painting.
I'm great at using words to paint a visual picture, but sometimes a sketch or a quick watercolour can really help translate your ideas to others.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
This is a tough one because it's so difficult to quantify events in my life.  Probably becoming a Decorator at
such a young age, and managing to maintain and grow an amazing and talented crew.

Which word or phrase do you most overuse?
"Absolutely,"  "One Hundred Percent,"  and on those frantic no-time TV schedule one-day dresses, "Broad strokes, people!"

What do you look for on the Craft Services table?
Hah!  It depends on the day - but the meat and
cheese platter is ALWAYS my weakness.

Please name a benefit of being an SDSA member.
The community, and SETDECOR magazine! Living and working mainly in Vancouver, it's great to be able to meet and connect with Decorators in LA and all around the US.  I've read SETDECOR for years, and try to be as involved as I can, even with the distance.
