August 20, 2020 The Production Design team from the AppleTV+ Emmy nominated series THE MORNING SHOW were featured in the online Q&A series BEHIND THE SLATE.
Moderated by Michael Provart, the panel included Production Designer John Paino,
Art Director James F. Truesdale and Set Decorator Amy Wells SDSA
We've been regularly filling up the SDSA Zoom Room, with Board Meetings,
Committee Meetings, Day With the Set Decorator panels and of course the
room capacity busting General Membership Meetings!
Until we can see each other again in person, this has been such a great way
to connectand virtually "see"each other! These meetings are so much more inclusive of the SDSA community with members across the country and the globe all in one meeting!
With production slowly gearing up again and members returning to work, we look forward to keeping everyone connected through more of these Zoom gatherings.
Mark your calendar now for the next General Membership Meeting! September 24th, 2020
This Rolling Meeting will begin with the
East Coast at 8:00pm EST, with the West Coast joining in at 6:00pm PST.
Look for the invitation with Zoom log-in info in your email inbox, coming soon!

In a Few Words...
Which talent would you most like to have? Especially since we are living through a pandemic,
I would love to discover a cure for cancer...my hubs is an MD working on cancer drug clinical trials...my mother battled ovarian cancer for 5 years... My mother has always been my style & design inspiration.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? Absolutely my greatest achievement has been balancing family & work as a set decorator … my support system … my husband Dan and my son Dylan are simply amazing :) I could not do it without them !! Miraculously, I rarely missed a high school or college baseball game … always heading back out to shop after games
Which word or phrase do you use the most? Fabulous … I’m on my way … You can’t make this stuff up
What do you look for on the Craft Services table? Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate … Ice, Ice, Ice
Please name a benefit of being an SDSA member. The support system of decorators and vendors is wonderful. One of my favorite memories will always be coming to preview Los Angeles vendors for the TV show PAN AM … Ron Franco helped me map my visits to LA vendors, set up a visit to the SDSA office, and joined me and a mutual friend for a fabulous dinner. A big shout out to New York VP Cathy Marshall for her hard work here on the East coast!!
