WestEdge Design Fair
October 19th - 22nd, 2017

The SDSA returned to WestEdge Design Fair for the third year in a row, presenting the panel Behind the Design – The Art of Silent Story-telling: A Set Decorator’s Collaboration.

The panel featured prominent SDSA Members who shared their work and experience; inspiring ways to bring the desired look and feel into any room through set décor tips and techniques.

Juan Morales, Editor-in-Chief of the Television Academy’s Emmy Magazine, led a conversation on the collaborative process between Set Decorators and industry professionals who help enrich the art of “Silent Storytelling” for film, television and emerging media. The panel revealed insider tips on how the Set Decorator makes believable worlds for camera using the art of Silent Storytelling.

This lively discussion was streamed live on Instagram at OfficialSDSA.  Look for the video to be posted soon on the SDSA website.

HOLLYWOOD PIANO COMPANY

Hollywood Piano is about to celebrate 90 years in business in 2018.  The historic piano company has been providing pianos for the entertainment industry since 1928, including some of the most famous pianos in screen history, such as the Laurel & Hardy classic "The Piano Movers" and the legendary "Casablanca". Our company still believes in the personal approach and we will move heaven and earth to satisfy our customers.

The collection of pianos is gigantic. We have 2 showrooms and 2 large warehouses filled with pianos. No matter what color, period, finish or style you can think of, we probably have it. While our warehouses are not generally open to the public, we make them available to our friends in the industry.

In addition to the enormous collection of pianos for rentals, Hollywood Piano also has one of the largest selections in the country for sale. The selection includes nearly every famous brand from grand pianos to upright pianos, digital pianos to players and everything in between.
We are honored to be a part of the design community and SDSA are here to serve you!
