BASSMAN BLAINE
Bassman Blaine is a trade showroom stocking moderately priced, and on trend case goods, upholstery, lighting, cleared wall art, accessories and soft goods.
We offer all of our inventory off the floor at trade pricing for immediate purchase and same day pick up, as well as a rental program.
2018 marks the 10th year anniversary of Bassman Blaine at the LA Mart Design Center, and expansion to over 18,000 sq. feet as well as the introduction of new vendors offering upholstery, lighting, accessories, and case goods.
Our showroom is conveniently located in South Downtown LA, just off the 10 freeway, at the LA Mart Design Center at the Reef Building. We are open Monday thru Friday from 9-5. Our building has a full service dock.
We understand the demands placed on set decorators and take pride in our ability to offer both outstanding product and customer service. Can’t make it in? Call us to FaceTime with one of our associates to help you find the perfect items.
We make monitors work so you can shoot them with a film camera.
Yes, that’s overly simplistic, so here’s some additional technical jargon: Visual Alchemy provides complete video and computer services to the film production industry.
We operate true 24 frame sync video/computer feeds & displays with film-video synchronization, with the best operators around.
In addition to our on-set playback services,
Visual Alchemy also offers full-service content creation, including video acquisition (shooting) & editing
(on-set or off), computer graphic and animation design, video projection, LED walls, and set dressing/prop rentals.
Our crews include video engineers, shooters, editors, graphic artists & animators, all well versed not just as editors/shooters/etc, but specifically, in using those talents to create content as playback elements.
So, welcome to our site, please poke about (and if you have any suggestions, please send them in!) Enjoy our new catalog and online ordering system, and take a look at some of our past work.

In a Few Words...
Which talent would you most like to have?
To be an accomplished painter, being able to share ideas and emotions with my skills. Just a dream... Nevertheless, I find great pleasure in my very modest artistic work.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement?... If one can use that term, is having learned and continue to learn how to create teams happy and confident in the work that we do together.
Which word or phrase do you most overuse? "I love it… but could it be… more… less…"
What do you look for on the Craft Services table? A coffee of the highest quality... however.... seldom found.
Please name a benefit of being an SDSA member. Connection with and awareness of the high standard of the work of my fellow members. Which is inspirational and humbling.
