2021 Creative Arts Emmys® Details Announced!
While last year’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held as virtual, pre-taped livestreams over five nights, the Television Academy has announced that this year there will be three live ceremonies over two days with limited audiences in a fully air-conditioned tent at the Event Deck at L.A. LIVE, directly behind the Microsoft Theater. They will then be edited into a single broadcast to air Saturday, September 18 at 8 p.m. on FXX.
The ceremony honoring Outstanding Production Design is scheduled for Saturday, September 11th, 11-5 pm PT.
Those awards include:
Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour Or More)
Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Period Or Fantasy Program (One Hour Or More)
Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Program (Half Hour)
Outstanding Production Design For A Variety Special
Outstanding Production Design For A Variety, Reality, Or Competition Series
Due to ongoing concerns and public health mandates regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, attendees will be required to provide proof of full vaccination and will be required to provide proof of a negative RT-PCR COVID test prior to admission to all Emmy ceremonies.
The Television Academy will also forgo its annual Governors Ball events and instead, will host a series of enhanced Emmy Nominee Celebrations in advance of the Emmys at its NoHo Arts District campus. These intimate-themed gatherings will honor nominees across the numerous peer groups.
The 73rd Primetime Emmys® ceremony, hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, will be broadcast on Sunday, Sept. 19, (8:00-11:00 PM, Live ET/5:00-8:00 PM, Live PT) on the CBS Television Network and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
Good luck to all of the nominees!
