Summer Speaker Series: John Parkinson, Icon King on July 14
Join us on July 14 from 7-8:30 pm at the historic Rapp Saloon (1436 2nd Street, Santa Monica) as we discover the architect behind Union Station and Grand Central Market, and whose iconic design defined Spring Street .
Author Stephen Gee introduces John Parkinson, the architect and one-time Santa Monica resident whose work defined 20th century Los Angeles and remains at the core of the City's soul. Parkinson participated in the design of over 21 buildings on Spring Street in downtown Los Angeles, and his most well-known works include Los Angeles City Hall and Union Station.
