Teenage friends plan an epic trip to Comic-Con to meet their idol, only to get caught in one hilariously awkward predicament after another.*

Set Decorator Regina O’Brien SDSA International gives us a playful peek at the sets and story of this tween comedy adventure!
The Andropolis house…
Our Hero Argo Andropolis [Cole Sand] lives with his father, a retired Colonel, in the hamlet of Beacon Cove. Colonel Andropolis [Matt Battaglia] loves khaki, since it reminds him of his time in Iraq. He loves order, and always has enough coasters for your drink. His motto is “Be prepared”...yes, he was an Eagle Scout! Thus, he also has extra water, food and medicine in the pantry, in case of an emergency. He is a patriot who loves dogs and Presidents.
I'm not sure why he has an antique clown figurine collection, but I'm pretty sure what he’ll do when he sees what happened to the house!!

Argo Andropolis’s room…
Argo lives for comic books, most especially StarCrasher, but his Dad hates it. So Argo’s collection of comic books and prized StarCrasher memorabilia is hidden where his Dad can’t see it, under the bed and in the closet, carefully labeled and catalogued.
Maybe he is a little bit like his Dad after all...At least they can agree on NASA and camouflage.
I hope Dad doesn’t notice the custom StarCrasher pillowcase...

Zed & Patches Novak’s bedroom…
Before their dad mysteriously disappeared, he gave Zed [Sam Ashe Arnold] and his big brother Patches [Curran Walters] his well-worn copy of the StarCrasher comic book, which has led the boys into the world of fantasy comics and video games. Patches became an expert hacker...too expert. When Patches was sent away to Juvenile Detention, Zed, ever the entrepreneur, set up his home office in the room they share. You never know what job needs doing or who will do it, but Zed is ready with all manner of items and self-help books.
Zed prefers the colors blue and silver, just like his character idol, ShockHunter.
Treece’s house…
Fortunately for Treece [Brianna Reed], her Dad [Larry Bates] recognizes the artist inside her and lets her set up a studio and personal gallery of her drawings on the first floor of their Craftsman house. The house is decorated with an odd blend of things—Ikea meets Shaker—since her new second dad has moved in with her new stepsister, Hallie [Brittany Garms]. Its not a bad mishmash, but definitely not normal.
Beacon Cove ComicCon…
Our Heroes have only one goal: to get in to the Beacon Cove ComicCon so they can meet their idol, the author of the StarCrasher comic book series, R.L. Cross.
This ComicCon (officially licensed) has everything!
Hundreds...Okay, 28...of the most amazing Comic Book and Video Game companies on earth are here! So much merchandise, so little time! To think this all got set up in the lobby of the Pacific Palms Hotel...

ComicCon, exterior...
We rented so many great oversize figures, to mix in with the branded characters from our vendors. It just proves you never know when you’re going to need a 7-foot Goblin or a retro 8-foot silver robot!

Beacon Cove Convention Center,
Security Monitoring Room…
Watch out, they’re watching you...and they like to wear coffee!

Blade of Dragons Escape Room…
Beacon Cove is having their very first (and last?) ComicCon. All of the big players are here, including a whole area presented by the mythic TV show BLADE OF DRAGONS. Not only are BLADE OF DRAGONS costumes and furniture on display, but there’s also a crazy maze and a very special Escape Room. So creepy!
Make sure you don’t get locked in the Iron Maiden!
(Which I’ve always wanted to rent from Universal, I just needed the right setting).

Digilord’s trailer…
The infamous hacker Digilord [Kai Scott] has just escaped from Juvenile Hall. As his name implies, he is a master of all things digital, especially Video Games. He will gladly spend his lunch money...and more...to be able to play the hottest games before anyone else. Since hacking got him in Juvie in the first place, he now hides out where no one would think to look. The outside of his manor is an unpretentious broken-down trailer, but the inside is decked out with everything the ultimate gamer fanboy could want, all in handy road cases for a quick getaway.

VR cabin…
Argo awakens from their crazy author party in the WOODS, with a BEAR!!
Fortunately, he sees a rustic cabin...um, with lots of dead animal pelts, and a beautiful woman is cooking stew...
Wait, is Argo destined for the stew??!!

Furry Buehler’s Dog Grooming Salon...
True, Serge [Elon Gold] is currently giving the pooches of Beacon Cove the freshest cuts in town, but he has so much more in him. He is an ARTIST, and wait until everyone at ComicCon sees what he’s got! For example, look what he's done with this salon, so colorful and fun- so hip and ‘80s! Don’t miss the portraits of his clients on the wall! “Simply fabulous!”

Donut Truck...
Hallie makes a pit stop for donuts while on the hunt for Tom Dunkins.

Hoarder’s apartment…
Our Heroes have to retrieve the Pit People “Mushroom” plush —and more importantly, the jump drive hidden inside. Unfortunately, the collector who bought it is a bit of a hoarder, but even though her apartment seems a wreck, rest assured she knows exactly where this treasure is stored. In fact, she knows where all her treasures are, be it a Pit Person, a vintage mannequin head, Plants vs Zombies figurines, Tokidoki collectibles, Rattan Furniture, or...too many to list!
Maybe she’ll give it back to them...for a price!
Sourced from: RC Vintage, Lennie Marvin's Propheaven, Alpha Companies, and all of our great product placement.
Crash Crew hideout…
The Crash Crew lair is tucked under the school bleachers. The hideout may look like a bunch of old junk, but once you know that magenta is Jane Markswoman’s color, blue is ShockHunter’s, and, of course, the bright green and yellow of the StarCrasher himself, you start to see how everyone is represented and has his, or her, place...
And how it all began...
