In a Few Words...

Which talent would you most like to have? I wish that I could sing!!! I think it would be so cool to bust out in song, but alas I cannot. I can say that I can tell when someone isn’t being authentic. It’s my secret power and has helped me in countless ways specifically in this industry.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? I married very well. And by that, I mean someone who is totally supportive and helps me in countless ways when I am working. Without this I couldn’t focus on my job as much that I do and be successful as a decorator, wife and mother. The beautiful acceptance speech by Ryan Gosling at the Golden Globes is very true, without our families none of this is possible.

Which word or phrase do you most overuse?
I have two…” It’s going to be great!!” and “I’m so excited!!!” Excited, I ask people if they are excited about something. My teenage son doesn’t like it when I ask him.

What do you look for on the Craft Services table?
Well, tacos! But I usually resist. Protein and apples, I love apples.

Please name a benefit of being an SDSA member.
I think it’s important and useful to have this community of support. It’s great to be able to bounce scenarios off one another and helpful for negotiating deals.
