The 42nd Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards

Congratulations to Tom Early SDSA, who along with Production Designer Dan Olexiewicz and Set Decorator Danielle Mullen, was awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design for a Drama Series at the Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, April 24, 2015, in recognition of their work for the acclaimed soap opera DAYS OF OUR LIVES.

Serving as Art Director on the iconic series, Early has received 6 Emmy nominations and was honored with an Emmy in 1997. This is the first Emmy for his two collaborators.

Early recently completed a full two-term commitment on the Board of Directors of the SDSA, which included chairmanship of the organization’s awards event.

Also garnering a nomination this year was Set Decorator Jennifer Elliott SDSA, for her work alongside Production Designer Chip Dox and Art Director Andrew Evashchen on the classic soap opera GENERAL HOSPITAL.

Elliott speaks for all when she says, “This season has been a challenge with intricate story lines and a limited budget but these parameters keep us on our toes! We have been doing sets as a team for 13 years together on this show, and have been blessed with great characters and stories, as well as an awesome Executive Producer who really understands and encourages our vision!”
